2005 RIDE FOR THE CURE Results:
WE DID IT!!
$20,000 GOAL EXCEEDED!!
The 4th Annual RIDE FOR THE CURE held Saturday July 9th, 2005 in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, to destination beautiful Buttermilk village, was a great success with over $22,000 being raised for the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation. The RIDE parade included 144 motorcycles and more than 200 people attending the day's event of music, food, friends, and prizes. Impassioned speeches were given by Tary Trottier (Ray Trottier's wife to whom the RIDE was dedicated to), of the importance of the RIDE FOR THE CURE fundraising event, and cancer survivor Heather Ingram spoke of her own battle with the disease, losing her husband to cancer, and about the need for fundraising to support those living with cancer and finding a cure. A BIG THANK YOU to all Participants, Corporate Sponsors, and Supporters of the 4th Annual RIDE FOR THE CURE dedicated to the memory of Ray Trottier. (I think Ray would have been impressed)

Established in 2002 in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, with close to 100 motorcyclists participating in the 1st Annual RIDE FOR THE CURE, it is expected the event will grow in number of participants, sponsors, and funds raised each year. The RIDE FOR THE CURE event proceeds assist the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation in its on going mission to support breast cancer research, education, diagnosis and treatment. One in every nine Canadian women is diagnosed with breast cancer.
